We were trapped in yet another serial killer’s lair. Not surprisingly, we had 60 minutes before he returned to add us to his extensive list of victims. As we worked our way through the challenges he had created to keep us stranded, we found that there were four rooms in his hideout. We were so close to our freedom and calling in the police for his capture, but we became stuck trying to figure out the next step. It appeared that we needed to find a battery for a leaf blower that would open up a pipe we required access to, but we couldn’t find a battery anywhere.
After a while, we picked up the leaf blower again and, while we felt terrible doing it, we toggled the switch very hard – and it turned on! Much like in life, we try to be very respectful of other people’s things, the processes set into place, the guidelines or rules created, but sometimes we have to take a risk to break something to move forward. We were able to secure our freedom from the serial killer’s lair that day, and we learned an important lesson. Sometimes in life, you need to take a few risks to move forward.
