Our brains have developed cognitive biases as shortcuts to conserve energy and identify threats quickly. This workshop helps participants identify the cognitive biases that may be getting in their way of appreciating differences in the workplace. Bringing awareness to one's cognitive biases and overcoming them leads to a trusting, fair and respectful workplace, accelerating team collaboration.

Objectives

  • Understand how we interpret and understand differences.
  • Explore critical differences – personality, thinking patterns, national culture, and expressed gender.
  • Explore how we can better collaborate in diverse teams.
  • Identify actions for overcoming unconscious bias and extending our ability to collaborate effectively.
